This Is My Budget Privacy Policy

This Is My Budget collects two kinds of information YNAB (You Need a Budget) and Windows Store Telemetry. See below for specific info on each information type. Personal information is not stored or transmitted outside of the app with the exception of YNAB. Any user generated information that gets sent from this app will only be sent to YNAB, to perform the action/s you requested.

YNAB information

When you enter your YNAB username and password, This Is My Budget does a one-time authentication request to YNAB which sends back a unique authentication token. We cache the username and the authentication token in the app. Your password is never stored.

All communication between This Is My Budget and YNAB is encrypted using TLS. We only send and receive information needed for the app to function correctly. A portion of your YNAB data is cached in the app to allow for offline access. This Is My Budget doesn't send anything different or additional to YNAB then if the user was using www.youneedabudget.com website. Windows Store Telemetry

This Is My Budget uses the Windows Store Telemetry to keep track of app usage, fix crashes, and find bugs. All information sent to Windows Store Telemetry is anonymous and free of any user context or data. Your username, authentication token, or any other user data is never sent. An example of what might be sent: if you try to add a transaction and it fails, the app will report it to Windows Store Telemetry with a system exception about what happened. Your transaction data and username would not be sent.
